Actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood visited the revered Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirumala on Monday morning to offer prayers, marking a spiritual start to his new cinematic venture.
Dressed in a peach pink kurta, the Fateh actor paid homage at the temple, which is one of India’s most visited religious shrines and a major pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
Speaking to ANI after the darshan, Sood reflected on his journey, saying, “When I came here for the first time, it was 25 years ago. Today, I return with my family. I pray for happiness, peace and prosperity for all in the world.”
He also revealed details of his upcoming project, sharing that his next film titled ‘Nandi’ will see him take on dual roles as both actor and director.
“We are starting a new project—a film called Nandi. I’m acting and directing. It will begin soon,” Sood said.
The actor’s visit follows his recent recognition on the global stage. Sonu Sood was honoured with the Humanitarian Award at the 72nd Miss World Grand Finale held in Telangana, applauded for his tireless social work and aid during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also served as a judge for the international beauty pageant, which took place at the HITEX Arena in Hyderabad.
The actor continues to win hearts not just through his on-screen roles but also with his impactful off-screen contributions to society.
